Arctic Tern / 05.24.14

We took a little trip into marshy Alaska where the hardest working birds found home. They didn’t like us there; they were protecting their eggs. One egg lay, camouflaged, in the rocks and pebbles. As I stepped out of the car the birds circled my head, squawking, to let me know of their disapproval. I was quick. Boy, they’re fast!
