My oldest, Trevor. I appreciate the person he has always been. Trev is kind and gentle. He looks out for others and is everyone’s friend. He’s not into the popularity hour. In fact, my guess is he’d rather be a loner than the star of the show. Sure, I get on him about homework being late (or not done AT ALL) and sure the clothes laying on his floor like victims drive me up the wall, but I really need to focus on what matters: recognizing who he is and appreciating that person. He is my number one–my first, and I’ve grown and learned from this fourteen year old. Gosh, I love him!

This photo was outdoors on the deck. I put him to work shoveling–hence the “I’m-not-going-to-smile-I’m-working” face. Notice I got a smirk out of him.
